Former Kempsville wrestler killed in Minnesota car accident

Former Kempsville state champion Bryan Miller was killed in a car accident in Minneapolis last week. Miller, a 1992 state champion at 103 pounds, lost control of his vehicle as he exited an off-ramp on a Minneapolis interstate.

Keith Lowrance had this to say in an email sent to Mat Talk On-Line about Miller.

"Bryan had a great spirit, he was passionate about wrestling. He was coaching young wrestlers at a clinic the weekend before the accident. He was a a big part of the Kempsville wrestling family and will be greatly missed," Lowrance said.

Bryan wrestled briefly at George Mason before transferring to Division III powerhouse Augsburg (Minn.) where he was an All American. 

He'd  lived and worked in Minneapolis. 

Miller's  Memorial service will be held on Friday at 11am at Princess Anne Memorial Cemetary (1110 Great Neck Road) in Virginia Beach.. The funeral is through Altmyer Funeral Home.

A service for Bryan Miller will be held at 7pm on Thursday at Altmyer Funeral Home. The address is 5792 Greenwich Road, Va Beach, 23462.

VIRGINIA BEACH -- Robert Bryan Miller, 28, died Aug. 14, 2003. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Princess Anne Memorial Park. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge.
