Great Bridge senior Daniel Frishkorn, a three-time Group AAA state wrestling champion who grew up Newport News and wrestled with the Peninsula Wrestling Association, before his family moved to Chesapeake, committed to national power Oklahoma State.

Frishkorn, one of the nation's top recruits at 130 pounds, chose Oklahoma State over Arizona State. He will sign a letter-of-intent next week during the fall signing period and will receive a full scholarship with the Cowboys, coached by two-time Olympic gold medalist John Smith.

Frishkorn won his third state title last February and capped his year placing fourth in the 130-pound class in the USA Wrestling Junior Freestyle Nationals in Fargo, N.D. The annual event attracts over 3,000 high school age wrestlers.

Frishkorn aims for a fourth state championship this winter and Great Bridge shoots for a sixth consecutive state team title.
